Morgan County War Memorial Hospital Medical Staff will meet Friday, August 15 at 8 a.m. at War Memorial Hospital for its regular monthly meeting. The meeting agenda is available in the administration office at the hospital during regular business hours.

Why We Eat More Than We Think will be offered Monday, August 18 at 1 p.m. at War Memorial Hospital’s Center for Rehab & Wellness. Program offers suggestions for mindfully healthier eating by making small changes and little sacrifice. For more information, call 304-258-8377.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED Training Course will be offered on Tuesday, August 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at War Memorial Hospital. The course is designed for laypersons, especially those in a workplace setting. Fee is $40. Class size is limited to six people so advance registration is required. Heart Attack Risk Program will be offered on Wednesday, August 20 from 8-11 a.m. at War Memorial Hospital. Individuals will be screened for key risk factors for heart disease --- including total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides, blood glucose, blood pressure, body weight/body mass index, and smoking. The screening fee is $15. The screening process takes approximately 20 minutes so appointments are necessary, and participants must fast for 12 hours prior to their appointment. Morgan County War Memorial Hospital Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, August 26 at 5 p.m. at War Memorial Hospital for its regular monthly board meeting. The meeting agenda is available in the administration office at the hospital during regular business hours.

Morgan County War Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will NOT meet in August. Next meeting will be Thursday, September 18 at 9:30 a.m. at War Memorial Hospital.
